Word, it's a shame that activision is a goldmine. But WOW Classic Burning Crusade Gold I believe they didn't make use of it since a) j allen brack doesnt appreciate classic b) their devs are too insecure that retail is worse than vanilla yet they continue to push their outdated systems since it could mean that their jobs aren't necessary c) Bobby requires yachts to operate, therefore they dont have enough support GMS to watch a living world.
The majority of people want a classic plus. I think most people think activision isn't equipped with the expertise and capacity to implement the classic plus. Activision will not invest 100s of millions of money in an old-fashioned plus. That basically means that vanilla's products are a waste. Management doesn't seem to be as taking the L, and admitting they aren't sure how to make a good mmo. If they were smart, they would announce classic plus on the horizon and recruit kevin jordan.
Because everyone has so many concerns and desires to make changes, SOM is bizarre. However, this is the kind of discussion that led us to wow's demise (noobs wanting dualspec, elimination of grinding, speedier levels). It is not possible to continue catering to those who wish to be able to play more or trust activision who dont know what mmos is about anymore. They need to hire more developers , and also get rid of Ion.
Vanilla should be kept as it is. Its arguably one of the greatest games ever developed and making any changes would likely hurt the overall experience.
There's no classic plus since retail is in existence. If the project titan had succeeded with its original plans, warcraft would have gone out of existence long ago and we'd be playing wow’s sucessor, since that's what the game was intended to become.
But they can't even do a "classic plus" without the need to put retail to bed, as they would be doing original type of ideas for two separate mmo's is far too chaotic
People are currently playing various games and it is apparent that they're revealing information about TBC and more.
After playing through Classic WoW, and then looking at the work Blizzard made in creating honey-to do tasks that keep players playing Burning Crusade, with rep farming and cheap WOW TBC Gold heroic Dungeon grinds, it became clear for me that this game is just a hamsterwheel. I don't have any qualms about Activision they were greedy throughout the years and required sub goals.
